For a third consecutive year, in conjunction with the NHLPA (National Hockey League Players Association), the police department will be coaching a hockey team of youngsters ages 10 to 15. The NHLPA’s Goals and Dreams program provides these youngsters with equipment, free of charge. As hockey can be fairly expensive, these youngsters would not have the opportunity of playing this sport without this assistance. Working with neighbourhood schools, the police department selects 26 youngsters to be part of its hockey team, “Les Forces”. A fine season will be starting soon for these youngsters!
